    Freshford is the name of my home district. There are nearly two hundred families living in and about the village. There are approximately 600 inhabitants in it. Dawsons, Kennedy, Crosby and Campion are the most common family names. Most of the houses in Freshford are slated except an odd one which is thatched. The village is so called because it is said to have been the first place where a ford was constructed. There are not many old people living in the village, some are just over seventy,
