  1. There is only one holy well in this parish that I know of and that is St. Fiachra's. It got its name from that saint who lived there long ago. It is in Clontubrid, Freshford. St. Fiachra came from Connaght. He died in France in 670. He blessed the well before he went away. Some people say that he lived in Clontubrid for six years.
    His feastday is on the eight of February. They people built a little house over the well.
