- There is a crock of gold hidden in the bank of a steam in Fennelly's farm in Ballyring in the parish of Lisdowney County Kilkenny. It is said that the robbers who stole this gold were chased by the police and unable to take it any further they hid it in the bank of the stream and covered it with a flag. Some of the old people state that a priest said it would be washed down with a flood. There was an old man in this district whose name was Martin Tobin and after every flood he walked the two banks of the stream to search for the gold but he never succeeded in finding it.
