- In olden times people churned in a sweet gallon or in a cremery churn. When making butter in a creamery churn people used a spoon to beat the cream until the butter was made.

- In olden times toys were made in the homes. One sort of toy was a top which was made from wood. When making them a piece of wood was pared to the required shape and a hole was made through which a nail was inserted.(continues on next page)
