  1. Children when they are yound are always taught little prayers, by their parents before they begin to go to school. Some of those prayers are to be said in the morning, and some at night-time, or during the day.
These prayers are usually short, little simple ones, and easy to learn.
A prayer to say in bed -
There are four corners on my bed,
    There are four angles overhead,
    Matthew, Mark, Luke and John.
God bless this bed I lie on.
If I die before I wake,
I pray to God my soul to take.
    Jesus the branch,
    Mary the flower,
    Jesus, Mary and Joseph
Assist me at my dying hour.
    O Jesus of Nazareth.
    Preseve my father and mother,
My brothers and sisters and myself,
From all accidents or sudden death.
