    to them, and told them he would grant them three wishes at the fair. When they arrived at the fair the woman wanted a calcannon pounder after tormenting her husband to get her one, he said he would put one in he throat, if she did not shut her mouth, as when he looked at her, there she was with the pounder in her throat. The first wish went in seeing the pounder, the second in putting it in her throat, and the third in taking it out.
    There was a man working in Foulkscourt about twenty years ago. It was twelve o'clock one night when he returned home to Foulkscourt. When passing through the yard he saw a crowd of boys hurling with red jackets and caps on them. Foulkscourt mansion was then inhabited by Amoses.
