In this same townland there is a large flat stone which was used by the old women of our district for washing their linens not only was it used by one woman but by all the women of that part. This stone is known as the "Cloc Lin" or linen stone and it was used up to the middle of the last century. Before any person dies around that district the banshee is heard crying at this Cloc Lin.
