not believe in ghosts. One night as he was going home late as usual he met another man on the road. The card-player said "good night" and the other man never answered. The man went on and after a short time the stranger overtook him. The card player again saluted him and the answer he got was the day for the living and the night for the dead. The card-player went home as quickly as he could and it is said that he never played cards again. It is supposed he got a fright as he thought the other man was a Ghost.
