- Many years ago a peasant in the neighbourhood had a strange dream in which he was directed to go to an old fothrathach in Coomshanna mountain better known as "fothrathach a lacha". Many a good glass of beer was brewed by the Danes in this fothrathach. Right enough there must be a hoard of wealth hidden 'neath these walls. This unfortunate peasant tickled with his dreams invited his neighbour to go with him to the spot foreshown to him in his dream and if they were successful he would share in half the wealth. After some time the man consented to accompany him and so they set off one Summer night in search of fame and fortune. Pick and spade soon uncovered a large slab which required united efforts of the two men to lift it on its edge. But alas! one man's courage broke and he hid. But, the dreamer now that his test was on he stood his ground to see the result. Only a few minutes occupied. Soon he(continues on next page)
