The weather can be judged by the behaviour of some birds for instance the cuckoo. If she comes early it is the sign of bad weather. - The wild birds in my district are:- The Grouse, Snipe, Patridge, Curlew, Crane, Pilibín, Blackbird, Thrush, Robin, Wren, Sparrow, Crow, Mag-pie, Faoileán, Green Sinnet, Gold finch, Yellow hammer, Jack saw, Chaffinch, Lark, Wag-tail, Tomtit, Swallow, Wild Duck, Wild Geese, Water hens, Owl, Starling, Corncrake,Cuckoo, Hawk, Pigeon, Grey Flower, Swans.
