    There is a tradition of Sarsfield around here.

    There is a tradition of Sarsfield around here. He was supposed to stay at the Castle of OFarrel at Ballintubber during the War of the Revolution as visitor. The same O'Farrel was killed at Auqhrim and his dog remained at his side till he died.
    There is also a tradition St Ruth at Aughrim. He was apparently a dandy and loved to appear in different uniform during the day. He once appeared on a White Horse dressed in Green, and then on Black Steed dressed in white etc.
