    Aylwardstown is also in the Glenmore Parish and like the Forrestalls the Aylwards of "Norman Origin" They were transplanted in 1653. They regained their property later and a daughter of Nicholas Aylward married one of the De Fraynes about 1680-1690. A son of his married Eliza Butler, daughter of Sir Richard Butler, of Shankill, Gowran
