- A funny StoryComposed of Local Humour or Wit from several inhabitants of the district.A chap was working at a farmer's house where one day the farmer killed a young bull. On the day after, the boy got a small portion of the meat, which the farmer's wife had cooked. He also got a large amount of turnip. When he had the meat eaten, he asked for more. The farmer's wife said "If I gave you any more, the bull would be bawling in your stomach". "Begor ma'am" said the boy, "He would not be bawling in the want of turnips anyhow"A farmer employed a new workman , who he left to sleep in the barn loft.
