- "Two miles from our village there is a field called the 'Deer Park' because in olden times men used hunt the Deer there. It is part of Castlemorris Grounds.
- The "Alley" so called because there was a ball-alley just inside the gate about 80 years ago. The "Forge Field" - named from a forge, there about a 100 years ago.
