    while the the guests danced on that night. Mid-night arrived, and a rustling was heard and (on) a veranda over head, looking up the old man saw his only daughter whom he had believed to be far away. Hesitating only to rush up the stairs, he embraced his daugh(t)er and forgave her. This proved to be who the lady Dorris saw, and the lovely singer on the stairs.
