  2. In olden times - before the great Famine - people used to take only three meals a day. They usually worked about an hour before breakfast, and then three meals of potatoes a day. Buttermilk and salt was taken with them and sometimes fish. Meat was was seldom or never used. It was considered a luxury. In very olden times the people would have a tiny pieces of meat hanging up in the corner of the house and when they would be eating the potatoes they would point
