    [Drawing]
A string about 2 ft long should be tied through the hole. Swing it in the air when it is going quickly hit it off the ground and it will emit a buzzing sound.
'Cribs' are made for trapping blackbirds when the snow is on the ground.
A top can be made from a large spool by cutting off one end and paring it. Put a nail down through it and you have a top.
