  1. In olden times there was a young man named Abraham Gibson he was at a dance in a country house playing a violin. On his way home he had to go through a bog and the bog was full of clams of clamps of turf. To his surprise he saw a large white ball like a bag of wool lying at one of the clamps. He was curious to know what it was and so he went over and lifted it. It seimed light, he lift it down and when he lifted it the second time it was much heavier. The third time he could not move it, so he lifted his foot and gave it three kicks. He then proceeded on his journey and when he looked behind him it was rolling after him. He hurried on but it still followed
