  1. Jack O'Brien is the only pedlar in the district. He visits every house in the district about once a month.
    He carries a large basket which contains his wares.
    He sells delph, polish, laces, cutlery, scissors, needles soop dishes and brushes.
    He buys his delph and other articles in Dundalk. and gets them free of charge on the railway.
    Sometimes there are gipsies travelling around the roads. They live in gaily coloured caravans drawn by horses. The men make mats, tins, and cans and sell these as they go around.
    The women make lace which they sell.
