    Last Sunday McQuillan went

    Last Sunday Mc Quillan went round to Agnews,
    When the mistress was ready he made no delay
    Stuck the harness on Larry and hasted away
    The wee horse was right fresh and travelled right fast,
    He never drew rein till he stopped at the cross.
    Now up to Lecklevera he made no delay
    He hardly took time for a wee cup of tay.
    When he went to Mc Kenna's the fun it was great
    He seemed quite surprised when he found it was so late.
    He says to Maggie Alice now what'll I do.
    Or what'll I say to wee Mrs Agnew.
