  1. Come all ye jovial mountaineers who live near Glandine.
    I hope you'll pay attention to a simple verse of mine.
    Concerning a young mountain hare that lately has come down.
    And strange to say got bad fair play all in Mountmellick town.
    The whole promoter of this fight his name it was Ned Bell.
    But who were his ancestors no Irish man could tell.
    He came a drover to Campclone,but no one known from where,
    That was the boy thought to destroy our charming mountain hare,
    They marched him to Mountmellick town
