    worked the clay into shape with his hands and turned a ledge round the top.When he had a certain number made he put them into the kiln to dry.This took three days and then he sold them in large quantities in places likr Cootes of Ballyfin and Lord De Vesci's of Abbeyleix. Some of the pots which he made are to be seen in many places in the district.
