- On the cut mountains in the parish of Clonaslee there is a place called the Robbers Den. On the side of a hill there is a big round ring with a hole in the centre of it.The hole is a narrow path with stone steps leading down to a cave or a den, The hole and the top step can barely be seen,as they are covered in with heather now. It is not known the size of the den as no one ever went down only the robbers. Long ago the Robbers and Highwaymen hid in the Den, They also hid(continues on next page)
