    had cocoa. They did not eat meat.
    Long ago the old people made bread which was called barm bread.
    They used to make to make the barm bread in pot ovens and also in griddles. The bread was made about once a week.
    On fast-days my grandmother got their breakfast at twelve o' clock and a collation about eight that night.
    For breakfast they had fish, bread and black porridge.
