    Long ago when the work-men would come home from work they used to spread a sack on the floor, and put the potatoes out on it, and get salt. Then all the men would sit on the floor around the potatoes and eat them.
    Fine oaten meal cakes it was used for feeding game-cocks and greyhounds. It is made of meal and flour and butter-milk and bread soda or baking-powder.
