    festering and is an excellent healer.
    Bran and vinegar is put on a sprain.
    Pepper and mustard is good for a toothache.
    A prod of a gooseberry thorn is a cure for a sty on the eye.
    A ferrets leavings is a cure for the whooping cough.
    Rub a snail on a wart then hang it on a thorn and by the time the snail is dead the wart will be gone.
    Another cure for a wart is to get to an elder tree and rub a growing leaf on the wart without pulling it.
    Double the leaf and put a crease in it. By the time the leaf is dead the wart will have gone.
    Spanish onions rubbed on chillblains is good.
    Bread soda and buttermilk is a cure for a bad burn.
    Loaf bread and boiling water is a cure for a festered hand.
    Soap and sugar is a cure for a boil.
