    He saw something like a dog at the edge of the pond. The dog went into the water and began prancing therein. Mr Cooney went to the edge of the pond and looked into the water. He could see nothing yet the prancing continued. He went home very frightened. Next morning he went down to the pond to see if there were any tracks of a dog there. There were none. There were tracks of horses at the edge of the water.
