    Now in Bethlehem's stable 'mid the straw you lie,
    Poor and weak and helpless on a cold, damp floor,
    You the God of heaven, angel hosts adore,
    Welcome, Infant Jesus, to this earth all drear,
    Love has brought you to us,
    Love will keep you here,
    With Mary and with Joseph while the angels sing,
    Kneeling we adore Thee,
    Jesus Infant King.
