  1. (continued from previous page)
Shut the gates of Hell and open the gates of Heaven.
And let all the poor suffering souls in.
God bless Friday and Good Friday too.
The day our Saviour was Crucified from the heart to the hand.
    His peaceful mother standing by,
With a heavy heart and a mournful sigh.
All that say this prayer three times by day, and three times by night
The gates of hell they shall never enter in.
    Amen.
