    In the townland of Annaghmore there is a lake called "Annagh lake." People say, in days gone by there was no lake there at all. There was only a small hole in the middle of this lake and a dangerous deep hole it is. This lake is about fifty or sixty years old.
    It was a was wonderful big bog and many a sod my grand father cut there, God rest his soul. The turf was all (was all) cut away and on this account it formed into a lake. In the middle of this lake is an island and on this island was two large squares for grinding corn before this water came the men around the place spent many a long day drugging stones in "Burdoges" on their poor backs into this island which is about 20 yds by 18 yds they used to put the stones on top of one another and fixed them as best he could, then on them were put the two squares or as we would call them two large stones for the purpose.
    There was a kilnm about 100 yds
