  1. Clothes made locally
    There are two tailors in Strokestown.
    They work in their homes. The tailors do not stock cloth. The cloth is not spun or woven locally. The people use tweed and serge cloth. There are some shirts made locally
    The types of cloth used for making shirts are flannelette cotton, and military gray. Some people knit socks and stockings at home. There are no special kinds of clothes worn on any occasion.
