    There is a certain well which people visit around here. All the people of this district who can go visit Knock on that day. There is a holy well in this diocese, it is near Elphin It is said if a person has illness and if they go to the well on the fifteenth of August before the sun rises and drink some of its water it will be cured.
    Hallowe'en
    The customs attached to Hallowe'en are -
    People make a barm brack and put a ring in it. Who-ever gets the ring is supposed to be the first in the family to be married.
    The children hang an apple from the ceiling and they try and catch in their mouths.
    Ducking for apples and money is another custom.
