three days and for three nights. it was on the ground for five weeks before it all melted away. When the people got up in the morning they had to shovel away the snow from their doors.
There was a man who had three cows and they were under the snow for three weeks. They lived on the top of a ditch and they had nothing to eat except the green furze bushes. There were a great many cattle and sheep found dead on the ground when the snow melted.
