    such a leap that he actually flew a great distrance thus leaving his pursuers a long way behind. The horse in taking the leap left the clear imprint of his shoe on one of the flat stones on the top of the stile. This stone was there until about 35 years ago when it was removed some say to the museum.
    The Priest who succeeded in escaping was Father Carroll.
