    The best cure for a boil is to cork a bottle and boil it for a short time. Then take out the bottle and draw the cork and put the slug on the boil and the steam that leaves the bottle will cure the boil in a few minutes.
    Duglis is good for a whitlow. Boil it and then mix it up and put it on as a poultice.
    When some people had styes on their eyes they pointed nine gooseberry thorns to the sty and threw the last one over their shoulder. This would cure the sty. About six miles from my home there
