    fir or in the side of a ditch. The crow builds in a tree and starts building 1st March. The lark builds on the ground in a bog and the seagulls also. The pigeon builds in an ivy tree. The swallow builds in the eve of a house. The water-hen builds in a heap of bullrushes in the river. The corn-crake builds in a hallow in a bog.
    The magpie builds in a tree.
    The cuckoo builds no nest
    but lays her egg in another bird's nest.
    In stormy weather the seagulls fly in-land. If the swallows fly low rain is near.
    A story is told about the robin and Our Saviour.
    When Our Saviour was nailed to the Cross a robin came along and tried to take the nails out of His hands. He did not succeed and Our Lord shed a drop of His Precious Blood on the robin's breast in gratitude for his kindness. Ever since that time the robin has a red breast.
