- There are three Grave - yards in the parish.
They are in the townlands of Carrowntemple, Taughboy, and Dysart. They are still in use.
There are the ruins of a church in Taughboy and the ruins of a convent in Carrowntemple.
The grave - yards are on level ground. There are trees growing in them.
Carmelites are buried in one part and the protestants are buried in an other part, in Carrowntemple. There is one disused grave - yard in the parish. It is in Dysart. It is out of use only a short time. It is said a nun lived in the convent in Carrowntemple who's name was Sarah.
Local people often are buried in grave - yards in other parishes that are further away than their own parish grave - yard.(continues on next page)- Collector
