    1. If a person has the whooping cough and if a red ribbon is tied around his neck he will get better.
    2. If you are bleeding after pulling a tooth stick a horse nail in your clothes and it will get better.
    3. Dandelion - a cure for yellow jaundice.
    4. If you got a bite from a dog some of the hair of the dog would cure it.
    5. If a person had a sty on his eye he should get ten gooseberry thorns - throw one away and point the other nine at it.
    6. If you had the chin cough the soup of a gráineóg would cure it.
    7. The 7th son of a family can cure ring-worm by placing his hand on it every Mon. Tues and Thurs.
    8. If you have a scab on your neck put a fasting spit on it and it will be cured.
