  1. One day there was a man making a river. When he had the river half made he got a stroke of a sod of turf on the back. He looked around but saw nothing and he went on making the river. After a while he got another stroke of a sod of turf. He looked up a second time and he saw a woman coming towards him. He ran as quick as ever he could homewards. When he was half way home he heard a sound and turning round he saw the woman coming after him, and she following him near the house. Then she through a knife after him but she didn't strike him with it. When he went home he told his story to the man of the house. The said "Dont make that river any more"
