    No doubt much more of it is buried under the earth farther back.
    It is called Leac na Caillighe Béara. Local tradition has it that the old lady used to come & sit there gazing out to sea.
    Between Dursey Sound & Garinish Harbour is a point now commonly called Cailleachs. The English plural may be explained by the fact that there are two parts to the point, sticking out into the sea. No explanation can be given as to why that particular name was selected.
