Here I lay down my head to sleep

Here I lay down my head to sleep.
I pray that God my soul will keep.
And if I die before I wake
I pray that God my soul will take.
There are four corners in my bed,
There are four angels over head,
St. Matthew, St. Mark, St. Luke, and St. John.
God bless the bed that I lay on.
As I go out to holy land,
I see the Virgin Mary stand by
With her heavy heart of mourning flies.
Seven bells ringing, Seven priests singing.
