The men long ago wore more clothes than they do nowadays. All their underwear was made of flannel. Every day they wore two or three shirts, and these were made of flannel so it is no wonder that they were not sick every second day. The colours of these shirts were, blue, grey, and white. A certain type of these shirts was called "báiníns". These were made of flannel but had a white collar and a white front. They were generally worn going to Mass.
