    Bhí cailín ann uair agus ba mhaith léi go bpósfadh duine eigin é. Bhí fear ann agus bhí sé pósta ach bhí a bhean imthighthe uaidh agus dubhairt an cailín leis an bpósfadh sé agus dubhairt se lei mar seo:-
    "Glory be to Peter
    He had a wife and he could not keep her,
    He had another and he could not love her
    And up the chimney he did stuff her."
    Nuair a airig an cailín é sin deiri [?] se leat ná dubhairt sí a thuille mar gheall ar í a phósadh.
