  1. Some old people in this locality tell us of some cures for ailments.
    They say that the principal cures for a toothache are-:
    1)
    If a person puts a live frog into his mouth, and leaves it there for a few minutes, the pain leaves, and that person never again gets a toothache.
    2)
    They also state that if a person obtains a cup of cold water, throws the water backwards over his head, and blesses himself three times, the toothache disappears.
    3)
    A little mustard when applied to the back of a person's ear deadens the pain.
    4)
    Some ginger, when chewed slowly
