  1. The diseases cured locally in former times were headaches, thrush, warts, toothaches, scurvy, drawing wounds, farcy, dry murn, red water, dropsey, a burn and whoopingcough.
    Heachaches:-
    On Saint Brigid's night a cloth is hung on a bush and anyone who wears the cloth is cured of a headache. If the cloth was washed it wouldn't have any cure[?]. This cloth was called the "Brat Brighde".
    Thrush and Craos-galar:-
    Thrush and craos-galar are two diseases which effect children, and if a ganders bill was put into its mouth on three successive morning it would cure the disease. The gander and the [child?] should be fasting.
    Warts:-
    People cured warts by washing the wart in water which would be in a hole
