Everyone wears the shamrock on this day. In olden times people used wear coloured crosses, which they made themselves. Long ago a large vessel full of porter was kept in every public house on St Patrick's day. It was called St Patricks Pot. Everyone who entered the public house should drink some amount out of the vessel in honour of Saint Patrick.Shrove Tuesday:-
