    When the traveller came within her reach, she used to jump inside the fence and take up her position so as to command the traveller as he came along to her chosen ambush. Then when alongside her, she used to shoot her breast-milk in streams at his eyes, blinding him utterly with the poisonous liquid. When the unfortunate victim was reeling about in agony, she was able to despatch him at her leisure, and the old stories related that her victims were very numerous.
