That towers so high 'tween earth and sky,

When the fern, waves in splendour,
And the skylark plays his tune,
And the Laune's laughing waters,
Add enchantment to Macroom.
And Mount Massey's flowery bonnet,
To celestial heights doth soar,
Your satellite, dear potentate,
