  1. This is a story I once heard. One day a man went to a fair to sell a cow. As the fair was about ten miles from where he lived he started at three o'clock in the morning. He was not far gone when he met a man that offered him a cap full of silver for the cow. He praised the cow very much and when the seller heard this he would not give her.
    He went to the fair with the cow, and it was a very good fair. He got many chances of selling but none were as good as the cap of silver. So he came home again with the cow and coming home he met the man that he had met in the morning. He sold him the cow for the cap full of silver and went
