    moment, and said, "What ails you, you handsome colleen?"
    "And haven't I been told to weave all the flax before to-morrow morning and I'll never be able to put it together". Well, said the old woman Big Foot "if you will promise to ask me to your wedding, all your three pounds of flax will be made up into fine thread while you are taking your sleep to-night." Then the poor girl promised the old woman Big Foot that she would ask her to her wedding.
    It was all as the old woman Big Foot said, for all the flax was woven into fine thread next morning. "My brave girl," said the Queen when she saw all the fine thread, "you neednt do any more to-day, but to-morrow you may weave all this thread."
    The girl was more frightened than ever, and she was in great grief when she saw the second old woman come into the room.
